Valentine's package from meh fambily. Hoorah for Chik-fil-A sauce!
Elder Patrick has a friend serving in Mexico, and in his mission when an investigator knows the message/church/BoM is true and shrugs it off and does't act on it, they call it "going Jamaican."
Bro. Anderson seems to be "going Jamaican" lately. It's frustrating but it's been even more saddening. He has that 'golden investigator' story. He has the family support. He has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, priesthood, everything, but he is choosing not to make any effort to act on it. In the past 2 weeks we've only been able to meet with him twice, and I was on a trade-off so I wasn't even there. He's not giving the effort. We've even arranged for a member to pick him up for church. It's been really difficult with him. Hopefully this week goes better with him.
It's been a rough past few days for the ward. A recent-convert/neighbor in our area who was found/taught/baptized by the elders before Elder Patrick and I passed away unexpectedly at 23. Elder Patrick and I were the first to hear about it. Really shocked everyone in the ward. It's a difficult situation.
We've been doing a lot of finding lately and it's going well. Starting to meet with some stellar people!
Elder Ritchie
